Head of Operations

A lot of teenagers become interested in cars as the prospect of being old enough to get a licence draws near. Usually, that could mean watching some Formula One on television, a bit of internet shopping for a potential first car, perhaps even some posters on the bedroom wall. Chris Gerace took it to a whole new level.

In 2018, at the age of 16, Chris set about organising his very own charity car show. Here his natural organisational prowess was on display, with over 1000 people to a venue, 350 cars, food trucks, staff and traffic controllers.

It just so happened that aaig’s Managing Director Matthew Roberts, also an avid car enthusiast, was in the crowd that day. He was so impressed with Chris’ leadership in managing risk, operations and running a smooth successful event that he offered him a job on the spot. Of course, he had to finish school first.

Joining the team in 2018 as a casual Administrative Assistant while completing his secondary education, Chris quickly rose the ranks and now heads the Operations team. Chris has played a key role in driving growth, managing multiple capital raises totalling over $60 million. Christopher’s path illustrates the fantastic opportunities at aaig for anyone with drive, dedication and skill.
